Recently, Rapture Arabians was contacted by a young woman who had visited our website and had an unusual request. She loves Arabian horses, but does not have a horse of her own at this time. She asked if she could have her senior pictures taken with our horses. We were honored that she would wish to have these special photos taken with Lady Minstril and Prince Rex. She made the hour long drive the next week, bringing along a professional photographer. They spent two hours with the horses and around the farm taking many shots. The horses, for their part, were perfectly well behaved and seemed to glory in all the attention they were getting. We would like to thank Annie Bleuer of Annie Jane Photography, for allowing us to display some of her beautiful photos on our site.
The beautiful imported Native Halters that are seen on our horses throughout this website are compliments of Kellie
Kolodziejczyk and Al Moussami, LLC. We are honored that Kellie chose some of our horses to model this beautiful line of
native halters and breastplates that are now available at www.al-moussami.com.

Kaahileh may be the best offspring yet of the Prince Rex/ Lady Minstril cross. This big grey filly has got everything going for her. As Lady Minstril's only SE filly to date, she will eventually replace her dam in our mare band.
Fasharah is a stunning bay filly sired by Prince Rex and out of Bint Maalima. She is 43.75% Babson breeding and has two crosses to the great Maarena.
This photo of Al Moussameh (Prince Rex x Kris Nasama) taken by our 17 year old daughter and titled "The Grass Is Always Greener," won a blue ribbon at the 2007 New York State Fair.
Fareesa is enjoying her new home with the Smiths at Charming Creek Farm. In addition to enjoying her time on the trails, she is learning pedestal work and how to teeter-totter. Here she is with her new owners demonstrating some of her talents.
Here is another lovely, athletic horse bred by Rapture Arabians. Shaarin is a 1999 mare out of Lady Minstril. She is owned, trained, and loved by Courtney Moreau of CT.
Aalimaar (Prince Rex x Lady Minstril) is a 2003 gelding owned by the Wilders in NH. He is shown very successfully on the 4-H circuit by their 12 year old grandaughter.
Wizare (Prince Rex x Lady Minstril) SE, AK "Wizzy" was Prince Rex's first foal. He had a pretty rough start, as he was born 5 weeks premature to a very sick mare. He was one tough little guy, and came through his ordeal with flying colors. As a yearling, Wizzy was purchased and is still owned by Fred Peyton and Cherie Middaugh of Pine City, NY. He went on to become Region 16 Champion Futurity Stallion in 2003.
HL Nadir (Prince Rex x Lady Minstril) Another product of the magic cross of Prince Rex and Lady Minstril is HL Nadir, a 2004 gelding. This is another beautiful, useable horse that has proven to be a great mount for his young rider, not only at home but in the show ring.
Azahriah (Prince Rex x Allahna) Here is an example of what Prince Rex can sire
out of a domestic bred mare. Azahriah was from Rex's first foal crop, and you can understand our
excitement. Az was always a tall, leggy, typey youngster, and he has continued with those
attributes as he has matured. As a coming 3 yr. old. he was purchased as a riding gelding by Steve
and Lois Smith of Charming Creek Farm in Robesonia, PA. He was trained by the Smiths and has
proven to be a reliable and especially enjoyable mount in all types of situations. You can find
more pictures of Azahriah on the Charming Creek Farm website.
Khidron (Hawkeye CC x Lady Minstril) is a 2001 SE, AK gelding bred by Rapture Arabians and owned since 2004 by Susan Hall. Khidron raced with some success in 2005, went on to place very well in hunter paces in 2006, and entered the dressage arena in 2007. When he isn't competing, he serves as a pleasure mount for his owner and a babysitter for young riders.
On Friday evening, August 26, 2005, a good-sized crowd gathered at Seneca Community Church in Romulus to enjoy the beautiful weather and a round pen demonstration with Lew Sterrett. Lew hails from Miracle Mountain Ranch Missions, Inc. in Spring Creek, PA.
Lew took our unbroken two-year-old Arabian gelding, Maarajan, and within 2 ½ hours had him performing under saddle at a walk and trot. This gelding, nicknamed Chicky, sure provided quite a show. His first trip away from home provided ample opportunity for him to be terrified. Between the people, cars, roundpen, and Lew with his rope, blanket and saddle, Chicky let it be known to all that he'd rather be elsewhere. Who would have suspected that this sweet young horse could pitch such a fit? Chicky's performance had a lot of people convinced that Lew was not going to be able to ride him when the time came. But Lew, with his persistent and patient methods, was soon on Chicky's back and riding around the round pen in both directions. It was truly amazing to see this horse go from a terrified colt to a calm and cooperative mount in just a couple of hours. Of course, Chicky isn’t a “trained” horse after just one session, but the foundation is there and most of the major obstacles have been hurdled.
Miracle Mountain Ranch is a Christian training center that hosts a summer youth camp, a youth and family retreat center, a college leadership program, and provides resources for equine and people development. The purpose of Sermon on the Mount is to help people understand how healthy relationships develop and how they can experience harmony and success in their own lives. This is accomplished by showing how a trainer's character wins a horse’s trust, which then sets the stage for future success in all areas of training. Sermon on the Mount uses horses to illustrate biblical principles and demonstrate loving, successful horse and trainer interaction. For more information on Lew Sterrett and Sermon on the Mount, visit www.sermononthemount.org.
Rapture Arabians is very excited that photographs of two of our Straight Egyptian Arabians, Prince Rex and Lady Minstril, have been chosen to illustrate the wonderful new book, Authentic Arabian Horse Names, by Bachir Bserani with Kellie Kolodziejczyk. It is quite an honor for us to have our horses recognized for their extreme beauty and classic Arabian type. Also pictured in the book is Fareesa, a bay filly sired by Prince Rex. For more information on this great book, or to order, go to www.al-moussami.com. As an added bonus for us, a ghost image of Prince Rex is featured on the “About the Book” page.
